Today is gormet sub day in the cafeteria

It don't get much better than that.

I'll be having the Italian (Ham, Salami, Provolone, Italian Dressing) with the whole garden AND giardenara. Add to that chips, a pickle and a Diet Mountain Dew, and I'm a happy, happy man.

Oh, I brought hummus for food day.....angry, bitter, red pepper hummus.

Later today I'm going to sneak off for a haircut. I hope the 72 hour rumors regarding such is true.

I have no class today.

Tomorrow we have our third "Food Day" in three weeks at work. For those unfamiliar with the phenomenon, everyone brings in an item of food for all to share and it is usually done in celebration of a co-workers birthday or similar event. Now in most arenas once a month would be plenty, but not in my department. Oh no!

I feel that the whole practice outlines the different ways men and woman look at work. See ADP is the first company I have ever worked at that I not only work with a large amount of women, I'm outnumbered.

Now when you work with men, work is just that, work. You show up. Do your time. Try your best. When work is over you leave. Maybe you have a beer or two with your coworkers every now and then. There is no attempts at celebration or anything over simple male bonding.

In a woman heavy department, there's this effort to be something deeper. Pals, buds, heck even family. The food day is just another step in that direction. Well I haven't really been co-operating because...well...I think it's all kind of dumb. Half my friggin' department is on weight watchers anyways, yet they keep doing this. Let me tell you the treats started getting really yummy once they all joined that cult. Well I've been informed theres been talk and the department assistant has kindly begged me to bring something in tomorrow. I guess I'll be going to Trader Joe's to pick something up tonite.

Geezo, I hate office politics.

BTW, I'm so ready for spring and baseball I bought a six pack of Old Style yesterday. Winter must die.

This is my blog

There are many like it, but this one is MINE.

My blog is my best friend. It is my life.

I must master it as I must master my life.

My blog without me is useless. Without my blog, I am useless.

Thus, I will learn it as a brother.

I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its parts, its accessories,
its pages and its features.

I will ever guard it against the ravages of weather and damage.

I will keep my blog clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready.

We will become part of each other. We will...
